NIR-II Fluorescent Nanobeads
In-house developed infrared fluorescent nanobeads with Stokes shift > 300 nm, resistant to interference from hemolytic, icteric, and lipemic samples.
Built on second near-infrared window (NIR-II) fluorescence technology, with system-level integration from light source, fluorescent microspheres to detectors, we deliver clinically-grade precision diagnostics affordable for primary care settings.
WWHS pioneered the application of NIR-II fluorescence technology in the IVD (in vitro diagnostics) field, opening a new paradigm of precision diagnosis with the "golden spectral window". Built on the NIR-II technology system originally created by Prof. Hongjie Dai, we achieve full-stack system integration from light source and fluorescent microspheres to detectors, delivering clinically-grade precision diagnostics that are affordable for primary care.

The differential absorption and scattering of light by biological tissue at different wavelengths determines the "readability" of a detection window. Conventional IVD relies on visible light (400–780 nm) and NIR-I (700–900 nm) bands, which suffer from significant biological autofluorescence (background noise) and tissue scattering (signal attenuation), limiting assay sensitivity and quantitative precision.
NIR-II fluorescence (1000–1700 nm) offers deeper tissue penetration, lower background noise, and higher signal-to-noise ratio compared to visible light and NIR-I. WWHS uses a proprietary encapsulation process to stably encapsulate hydrophobic NIR-II dyes inside polymer microspheres, producing monodisperse functionalized nanobeads with fluorescence quantum yield exceeding 20%. Infrared fluorescence POCT reagents based on these beads are excited at 780 nm and detected at wavelengths above 1000 nm. Compared to conventional methods, NIR-II technology delivers superior anti-interference performance, fully eliminating sample autofluorescence interference. Leveraging the strong penetration of infrared light, it enables 3D volumetric signal detection, reduces fluorescence scattering effects, and significantly boosts assay sensitivity.
